About the role
The Production Operator is a full-time position, based at Wetherill Park. Reporting to Production Manager you will be responsible for operating machinery to ensure material is produced to the commercial standard, identifying, and reporting faults and working in a safe manner.
Working hours
This role will work across a 10-day rotating roster across day and night shifts, 12 hour shifts - start times 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am
**In this role you will**:

- Engage the team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and high-quality production
- Deliver on production KPIs
- Ensure appropriate communication and feedback is in place, including technical review and recommendation of machine / site running conditions
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, such as high-pressure cleaning, removal of waste material from pits, channels, and vessels
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, including shovelling, sweeping, painting and vacuuming,
- Test operation of machines periodically & fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Maintain activity logs & carry out quality inspections

What you bring to the role
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments
- Trade qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline - not essential
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrable ability to problem solve
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong fault finding skills - not essential
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including consistent utilization of protective equipment
- Capability to operate a forklift - not essential
