**About the role**

An opportunity has become available for a Store person / Yard Hand to join our dynamic team at our Northam location. We are looking for a hard-working individual, to fill an important all rounder position in our yard with primary responsibility for stores inventory, yard receivals and dispatch.

**Duties**
- Work as part of a team to plan optimal transportation of goods between suppliers, our factory, and construction sites;
- Load and unload trucks optimally and safely to ensure space and weight optimisation, and ease of safe unload operations;
- Conduct materials movements into and out of workshops and yards via forklifts, telehandlers, and truck and trailer combo as required by production personnel;
- Receive and destuffing of transport container freight;
- Record and monitor incoming and outgoing goods and cataloguing into stores inventory;
- Performance of basic maintenance checks and pre-starts on moving machinery
- Undertake general housekeeping of the plant and yard and perform basic maintenance items;
- Assist in the workshop when additional labour is required to ensure optimal production workflow.

**Skills & Experience**
- Forklift license;
- Ability to be trained and VOC’d on Scissor Lift, Telehandlers, and EWP’s;
- Rigid truck license (HR), and ability and willingness to upgrade to MC;
- Able to plan and organise priorities and tasks;
- Keen industry experience and demonstrated capability in OH&S practices;
- Willingness to help with a team mindset;
- A bias towards tidiness and organisation, and able to perform basic computer entries into stock sheets and dispatch notes;
- Ability to capture photographic dispatch and receivals evidence in stores data base;
- Driver’s license with reliable vehicle;
- Be organized, efficient & productive;
- Have the right attitude towards any issue/problem that may arise; and
- Be willing to travel when required.
