**Salary**:$164,800 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading.
**Time Fraction**:Full-time, 1.0 EFT.
**Location**:Moorabbin, Waverley & Chadstone campuses - onsite parking & close proximity to public transport.
**WWCC**: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
**Police Check**:Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
**Position Status**:Ongoing contract of employment with a 6-month qualifying period.

**About the Role**
The Associate Dean - Health Science, Community and Social Studies is a senior leadership position within the Faculty, responsible for driving academic quality, regulatory compliance, and strategic development across both vocational and higher education programs.
Working closely with the Dean, you will lead faculty-wide initiatives to enhance teaching practice, program design, and continuous improvement. You will oversee governance frameworks, policy implementation, and risk mitigation processes, while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and Institute priorities. The role plays a key part in managing accreditation, supporting new program development, and maintaining strong connections with industry and professional bodies. You will also contribute to raising the faculty’s profile and driving strategic growth through the effective delivery of quality education and service excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead development and delivery of compliant, high-quality vocational and higher education programs.
- Oversee governance, policy, and quality assurance frameworks across the faculty.
- Manage accreditation processes and support implementation of new strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with professional and industry bodies to inform curriculum development.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory standards, academic policies, and teaching practices.
- Lead reviews of teaching, assessment and delivery modes to support educational outcomes.
**About you**
- Strong knowledge of VET and higher education compliance, quality assurance, and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience in academic leadership, including program development, curriculum design, and performance monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, strategic projects that deliver measurable improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across industry, academic, and regulatory bodies.
- Relevant degree/postgraduate qualifications in health, community services, or related fields, including a doctorate or PhD and an adult VET qualification.
