About the Role:
This role is part of the Sunnyfield - Employment Services growth plan, the School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) which supports young adults with a disability to build on new and existing employability skills to successfully enter the workforce or engage in further education or training.
The primarily responsibility of this role is providing structured training and workplace skills development in order to support a young person to engage in meaningful employment pathways. You will be responsible for delivering training in a group and/or individual settings, through tailored skills for work & life skills based training.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of face to face skills for work & life skills training to prepare client for volunteer, supported or open employment options
- Oversee the development and achievement of individual training goals through the development of Individual Plans
- Liaise with external parties to identify best options of support for participants
- Promote the SLES program externally & internally
- Identify learning support needs and gaps, then formulating tailored training programs to address those needs
- Ensure Effective & engaging program delivery, including Curriculum Modules, Skills for Work, work experience activities, community access and life skills activities
- Complete all required administration / reporting duties including day notes, program plan of activities, risk assessments.
About You:
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively market the SLES program within various settings (community, schools and employment agencies)
- Development & delivery of training materials and measuring training outcomes
- Build a positive link with client, family members and support agencies
- Ability to provide employment focused skills based training
- Ability to support client with challenging behaviours
- Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritise and use initiative
- Ability to measure and monitor training and identify any skill gaps
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment or willing to obtain
- Previous experience within skills based delivery setting
- Workplace experience within either the disability, community, industry and or welfare sector
