**About the School**:
Ithaca Creek State School is one of the oldest schools in Queensland with a rich history and dedicated school community. On 28 September 1885, our school opened its doors and by the end of the first year boasted an enrolment of 188 children. Our School is located in Bardon 4klm from the CBD with 645 students and 60 staff. All staff members at Ithaca Creek State School believe that positive foundations for life are built in a safe, happy and supportive environment where students remain active as learners and participate in a wide variety of experiences that build on their maturity and offer ever increasing independence and empowerment.
**Role**:
The ideal applicant would be an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in their work, shows attention to detail, possesses an excellent work ethic, and the willingness to learn to achieve high quality efficient and effective cleaning support to our beautiful well-maintained school. The position is permanent 38hrs per week plus ADO which requires split shifts commencing at 5am.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing.
- Removal of graffiti.
- Sweeping and vacuuming.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager.
