Additionally, our small group training sessions at the gym focus on fostering strong daily habits and enhancing interpersonal skills, as effective communication and teamwork are essential for everyone's future success. For those seeking an extra level of support, our Specialized Support team provides tailored experiences to enrich clients' lives. This comprehensive approach goes beyond mentoring and role modelling, addressing various areas such as hygiene and home habits, nutrition, overcoming fears and anxieties, cooking, art design, bike riding, and more.

**About the Opportunity**

As the Fitness Coach and Mentor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering one-on-one sessions in the gym space incorporating movement, mindfulness, and mentoring. You will drive client engagement in our program and foster positive relationships with all clients. You will also contribute to ongoing client and program growth and development. Upholding the values of Happy Healthy Living is a key aspect of the position.

**Responsibilities**

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Evaluating client’s fitness levels and health conditions
- Build individualised exercise programs
- Planning and assigning appropriate exercise activities
- Tracking client’s fitness and lifestyle progress
- Explaining safe and proper use of gym equipment
- Lead both individual and group training sessions
- Build positive and trusting relationships with clients
- Be a positive role model and mentor
- Promote the Happy Healthy Living program
- Uphold Happy Healthy Living values in all tasks and aspects of work

**Skills and Qualifications**
- A Certificate III & IV in Fitness
- Previous experience as a personal trainer or relevant role
- Previous experience working with young people, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable people (desirable)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Maintain current Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance
- Be registered with a current ABN (Australian Business Number)
- Current valid driver’s license
- Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (current or willing to obtain prior to employment)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (current or willing to obtain prior to employment)
- Exceptional ability to establish rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders
- Willingness to be flexible and creative to accommodate the needs of the clients, job, and organisation

How to Apply:
**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 15 per week

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Personal training: 1 year (preferred)
