Based in **Western Sydney,** this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a growing organization in the important position of **Service Technician**.

The primary function of the role will include machine fault-finding, mechanical disassembly and reassembly of faulty machine components including hydraulic systems, replace damaged wiring or peripheral limits which is extra on a machine, tuning of machine digital controllers and servovalve testing and refurbishment using specialised servohydraulic test rigs, machine refurbishment which includes cleaning down the machine of corrosion and contamination, complete disassembly of machines, and sending out major components for repair or replacement. The role includes work both at your employers premises or onsite which may be interstate.

You will be working in the Construction, Steel, Soil, Concrete, Asphalt, Building, Structures, Universities, Defence, Mining, Research and Packaging Industries

**What would your role look like**:
In a typical month, the job might entail: 6-days servicing servovalves at your employers site, 5-days answering customer service queries regarding spare parts and machine faults and fixing machines on site, 5-days stripping down and refurbishing machines at your employers site, 4-days completing paperwork related to service calls and the sale of spare parts. Travel is involved as sales are spread evenly around Australia and New Zealand.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Build and maintain customer relationships.

Answer customer service queries and fix machine faults onsite.

Conduct equipment installations, calibrations, and maintenance.

Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.

Assist in product development and improvement initiatives.

Assist with training of customers and colleagues.

Repair of electro-hydraulic servovalves.

To be successful an **Electrical or Mechanical **Certificate or Trade qualification is required. Some PLC and computer programming knowledge would be preferred but is not essential. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

On a personal level you will be motivated, with excellent technical aptitude and problem solving skills with an ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
