**About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?**:
As a Superintendent on the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction operations to ensure successful project delivery. You will lead a team of professionals, including supervisors, subcontractors and construction workers, and work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to achieve our project objectives.
With a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the construction industry. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and within budgetary means. This site-based role calls for a dynamic leader capable of managing multiple teams across various sites with precision and effectiveness.
The role will be site based and requires travel to the various construction sites to ensure that project deliverables are achieved in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

**Project Description**:
Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network - better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.
The Beveridge to Albury (B2A) project is the Victorian portion of the program undertaken along approximately 305 kms of existing northeast rail corridor between Beveridge and Albury. B2A is staged in two tranches. Tranche 1 includes enhancement works across four sites and corridor wide works.
Tranche 2 works will be delivered by John Holland and includes adjustment of track alignments, the provision of new road overbridges and station modifications to enable the safe operation of double-stack freight trains across eight B2A project sites between Wandong and Benalla.

**Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;**:
Overall responsibility for the role on this high-profile major project includes:

- Lead the strategic planning and execution of works, ensuring projects are delivered with technical and managerial excellence.
- Oversee the on-site delivery of defined scopes of work on schedule with all stakeholder expectations met
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and site personnel, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and high performance
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management
- Enforce strict safety, environmental and quality standards, advocating for best practices and championing continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with project management to establish detailed project plans and schedules, including regular progress assessments and reporting
- Serve as a principal liaison for clients, stakeholders, and senior management, facilitating clear and consistent communication to align with project objectives
- Navigate complex technical and operational issues by offering seasoned guidance and devising innovative solutions
- Provide leadership in risk management, identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and build a risk management culture
- Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take remedial action as required.

**To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;**:

- Trade Qualification or Tertiary Degree in a related field
- A valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel as needed to ensure project success
- Previous experience in a Superintendent or similar role, successfully managing and delivering civil & structural projects
- Significant experience in construction of steel bridges (box and through girder)
- Detailed knowledge of wide range of retaining structures (FRP, post and panel, piling, soil nails & shotcrete, reinforced earth) and box culvert underpasses
- People and performance management of subcontractors, suppliers and di
