**The Role**
Are you looking for a rewarding career that challenges you and makes a difference? Do you have a passion for problem solving and synthesising information from various sources to deliver an outcome? If so, you may be the perfect fit for a role in DIO’s Weapons and Technical Intelligence Branch.
You will conduct complex research relating to improvised and non-conventional threats, weapons systems, technologies, their enabling employment methodologies, and support networks.
You will receive training in the art of intelligence analysis, be provided engagement opportunities, and have access to many professional development opportunities. We also provide a flexible and inclusive workplace culture that supports your wellbeing.
Don’t miss this chance to join our dynamic and dedicated team of intelligence professionals
**About our Team**
DIO analyses information on global events from a range of sources, to produce timely and accurate intelligence assessments to assist the awareness and decision-making of the Minister of Defence and senior Defence officers.
The Weapons and Technical Intelligence Branch makes technical intelligence assessments on weapons systems and platforms that are a threat to Australia and its national security. We want to piece together a picture of global advances in weapons and military technology, and their security implications for Australia, and we do this by translating complex technical intelligence for non-technical audiences. Our analysis helps improve the ADF’s warfighting effectiveness, and enhances Australia’s national security.
You will play a key role contributing to our mission: saving lives, protecting platforms, and preventing surprises. We are a motivated, diverse team consisting of APS, ADF, contractors and foreign military, and we take great pride in our positive team culture.
This position would suit a self-motivated, high-performing individual who demonstrates initiative, and is keen to solve unique and constantly evolving analytic problems. You will leverage your broad knowledge, experience and professional networks to research and analyse problems using innovative approaches, delivering value for our customers.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to communicate with Australian Defence staff, industry stakeholders, and foreign partners with clarity and influence. You will have a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within high-pressure environments. You will have good judgement and integrity, and place high value on collaborative approaches to achieving results.
