Warehouse Worker/forklift Driver

Specific daily duties will be allocated by the Warehouse Manager in response to work volumes and seasonal demands in the warehouse and delivery teams.

**Warehouse**

The warehouse assistant is responsible for performing allocated duties within the Novari Collective warehouse, including but not limited to:

- Picking product for allocated schedules as per agreed timeframes
- Preparing picked product with protective packaging and materials as per procedures.
- Checking the quality of the items and completing the quality checklist. Quality checks to include ensuring all fabric is clean, furniture is clean, not chipped, scratched or rusted, measure to ensure sizes correct and all parts are present and matching.
- Clearing pallets and all other areas and putting away product that has been returned
- Product is stored correctly in designated areas and logically grouped.
- Checking the quality and cleanliness of product before returning to storage.
- Cleaning product that is not at the required standard or moving to the repair bay
- Sorting and preparing linen packs. Preparing linen for laundry and delivering if required
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels of consumable tools, cleaning and electrical items for OSS team and arranging orders as required
- Attending to swaps, including delivery of product to customers
- Collecting product from suppliers.
- Product deliveries are checked against invoices/delivery slips and coded before storage.
- Following daily housekeeping procedures including cleaning and rubbish removal

**Vehicle Operations**
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned vehicles are driven according to professional and courteous standards at all times.
- Responsible for the loading of designated vehicles ensuring distribution of weight and inventory secured to prevent movement and damage in transit.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned vehicles, including ensuring all rubbish is removed from vehicles and all on-board material handling equipment is secured.

**Forklift Operation**
- Responsible for ensuring the forklift is operated according to Safe Work Procedures.
- Professional and courteous standards at all times.
- Responsible for the correct loading of the forklift ensuring distribution of weight and inventory secured to prevent movement and damage in transit.
- Responsible for completing the forklift pre start checklist daily.
- Responsible for immediately notifying the Warehouse Manager where there are issues in relation to forklift maintenance, near misses, incidents and accidents.

**Workplace Health and Safety, Security and Other**
- Compliance with all workplace health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Compliance with all safety procedures and material handling requirements.
- Prompt reporting of all hazards, incidents, accidents and near misses.
- Ensure that all required Personal Protective Equipment is used.
- Ensure that emergency exits and fire fighting equipment is unobstructed.
- Ensure that warehouse security door is closed at all times roller door is open and vehicles are not moving in or out of the warehouse.
- Ensure that all visitors are identified and escorted while in the warehouse.
- Assist with processing payments as required.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- nsure compliance with company uniform and dress requirements.
- All other duties as reasonably required that you are skilled and capable of performing.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (for Australia) (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
