Our client, a well-established and highly regarded community services organisation, supports the health and wellbeing of women, their families, and their communities, providing assistance to vulnerable and disadvantaged women through their clinic, counselling, and support services.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Coordinator of Family and Domestic Violence Services, your role is to deliver a triaging service that supports women, with or without children, who are victims or at risk of domestic violence in accessing appropriate information and advice. This position includes a small caseload, to deliver case management, advocacy, support, information, and referrals to women, with or without children, who are victims/survivors or at risk of family / domestic violence.
This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis (4-5 days per week), located in our client’s head office in Northbridge. School hours will also be considered.
**Job Requirements**
To be successful in this role, as the first point of contact for requests for service, you will possess strong interpersonal skills to engage with consumers, their families, and Carers, coupled with knowledge in Family and Domestic Violence and skills in triage, intake, risk assessment, and advocacy support.
**Essential**
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in social work, cultural studies, family studies, or related fields
- Individual case management, advocacy, and support
- Knowledge regarding domestic violence issues, community development, outreach work, and cultural issues
- Triage, Intake, and Risk Assessment skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Understanding of access and equity, social justice, and multiculturalism in Australia
- Computer literacy including sound knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Applications in particular Word and
- Outlook and record management systems
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination Status
**Desirable**
- Working with Children Check
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
