Head of Development

We're looking for an expert with renewables and/or storage experience
- Develop Origin's pipeline of renewable energy projects

**About The Role**

We are looking for a permanent full time Head of Development to manage the development aspect of major renewable projects from prospecting to financial investment decision.

Your day-to-day:

- Manage and lead all development projects from inception through to handover to the execution team.
- Prospecting for new sites for assets and investigating development opportunities through multiple channels.
- Build and lead your team of Development Managers and Senior Development Managers with the remit that Development will lead each project until handover to execution.
- Identification of continuous improvement opportunities in field of practice via personal action and team engagement

**Is this you?**

To be considered for this role you will showcase a passion for renewable project and asset development, and the ability to build exceptional relationships with their peer group, direct reports, the extended Generation and Development lead team, and all internal and external stakeholders.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation, with 5 years of that being in Renewables or Storage.
- Demonstrable people and cultural leadership delivery of team engagement outcomes
- Management and hands-on experience relevant to renewables and storage project development.
- Exceptional knowledge of power generation connections and interface with AEMO and the TNSP.
- Sound knowledge of contracting models, OEMs and Contractors
- Sound knowledge of risk management processes including HAZOP & HAZID
- Demonstrable experience in developing professional relationships and effectively work with personnel across departments in an integrated organisation in performance of duties.
- Availability for frequent interstate travel.
