**The Opportunity**

Our Hazelmere Manufacturing Site is seeking a safety conscious trade's qualified/equivalent experienced person(s) to join the team on a full time basis.

Reporting to a Team Leader, your role will be to fabricate and fit out a wide range of Heavy vehicle equipment manufactured on site.

Our ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- Conduct a number of fabricating methods that may include cutting, welding, forming, burning, machining, dishing, and other specialized techniques as necessary.
- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
- Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
- Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
- A commitment to safe working practices
- Experience in a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

**The Successful Applicant**

To be considered for this role you will have:

- Relevant trade certificate
- Must hold at least 3 years relevant skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience with either LV or HV fabrication
- Experience in attaching new accessories to vehicles as per customer expectations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- High level of accuracy
- Self-Motivation and the ability to work autonomously
- Track record of quality workmanship
- A great can-do attitude
- Forklift license

Salary range is **$73,150 to $79,000** commensurate with experience.
