Sales Assistant Newsagent & Gift Store
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our small team to work on a casual basis of 10-20 hours per week.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Assisting customers with the purchase of lotto tickets, gifts, cards and wrap, newspapers, magazines and stationary.
Cash handling and the processing of sales through the joint lotto and point-of-sale computer systems.
Maintaining store displays and merchandise.
Restocking shelves and the management of inventory.
Light cleaning duties.
Providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience is essential, as is some computer knowledge however the knowledge of the sale of lotto products is not as thorough training can be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to work some weekends, Thursday nights, and some public holidays is also required.

Pay: $32.09 - $64.13 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
Supplementary Pay:
- Penalty rates
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (required)
Work Location: In person
