**Position Overview**

At Arndell Anglican College we are seeking an innovative and visionary **Head of Visual Arts** to lead our dynamic Visual Arts faculty **commencing Term 1 2026**. This is a key leadership opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to fostering creativity, excellence, and inclusive learning in a collaborative and future-focused environment.

As the Head of Visual Arts, you will oversee curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and faculty development. You will lead by example in promoting a culture of high expectations, student engagement, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, aligned with the College’s commitment to Christian values, pastoral care, and educating the whole child.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality Visual Arts programs, ensuring curriculum alignment, progression, and differentiation for all learners.
- Support and mentor staff in pedagogy, assessment design, practical implementation, excursions/incursions, and resource development.
- Collaborate with the Diverse Learning and Wellbeing teams to support the needs of all students, including contributions to IEPs, behaviour support, and risk management planning.
- Drive professional learning within the Visual Arts department, guiding staff development through collaborative planning, data analysis, goal setting, and accreditation support.
- Coordinate co-curricular initiatives related to the arts and lead department-wide projects, exhibitions, and events.
- Manage department resources, budgets, and equipment to ensure effective delivery of programs.
- Promote cross-curricular collaboration and contribute to whole-school strategic priorities as a key member of the Secondary Academic Leadership Team.

You are a dynamic and experienced educator with leadership experience and a passion for Visual Arts education. You are an individual with a:

- Proven capacity to lead teams, build culture, and inspire high levels of engagement and performance.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and experience designing inclusive, engaging, and innovative learning experiences.
- Commitment to pastoral care, student wellbeing, and whole-child development.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
