In Australia, Pan Pacific Hotels Group owns and operates six hotels including Pan Pacific Melbourne, which is conveniently located in the heart of South Wharf providing easy access to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Central Business District and key local attractions.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager will be an integral member of our hotel team. They will have a positive attitude, be a fantastic communicator, and a natural team player who has the ability to multitask and maintain a high level of attention to detail under pressure.

**The successful Duty Manager will**:

- Oversee hotel operations during shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between departments
- Act as the primary contact for guest concerns, complaints, and special requests
- Support the Front Office, F&B, and Housekeeping teams during peak periods
- Conduct daily briefings, monitor performance, and maintain service standards
- Handle emergencies, incidents, or safety-related matters professionally
- Ensure guest feedback is collected and communicated for continuous improvement
- Lead by example, demonstrating the hotel’s core values and service philosophy

**Ideally you will have**:

- Previous experience as a Front Office Supervisor or Duty Manager
- At least Diploma level qualification + 1 year of related experience
- Opera experience required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an eye for detail
- Demonstrated confidence in conflict resolution and service recovery
- A positive, team orientated approach with a passion for mentoring, training and coaching
