**Position Overview**
The Manager, Internal Communications position is a key role within our Corporate Affairs, Strategy and Government (CAGS) team and is responsible for leading QIC’s internal communications strategy.
This role is accountable for the development, management and delivery of QIC’s internal communications, covering both our Australian and global offices.
**About the role**
The Manager, Internal Communications will have direct responsibility and accountability for the delivery of compelling and relevant communications to support QIC’s corporate strategy and business priorities and to drive organisational culture, build employee engagement and increase internal alignment globally.
This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of corporate messages through multi-channel communications which align to employee interests and generate maximum awareness and cut through.
The main responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of QIC’s internal communications strategy to ensure the organisation is aligned and connected with both the corporate strategy and organisational performance.
- Provide CEO and executive level strategic internal communications advice and support in response to key business issues and opportunities.
- Leading the execution of the internal communications strategy and key events and help drive organisation-wide change management efforts.
- Managing employee communication channels and campaigns.
- Write and/or edit all internal and corporate communications ensuring consistency of internal and external messaging.
- Being responsible for the ongoing development, management, measurement and improvement of all of QIC’s internal communications channels including but not limited to internal corporate events and e-communications channels such as QIC Mail.
- Own, manage and evolve QIC’s intranet, QIC Net, and content strategy.
- Work closely with other communications professionals within QIC to ensure consistency of messages and sharing of ideas.
- Direct line management responsibilities for Internal Communications Specialist and Communciations and Community Engagement Advisor.
- Active member of the Corporate Affairs, Government and Strategy team.
- Management of the internal communications budget.
Your key stakeholders will include:
- **Executive Director - Corporate Affairs, Government and Strategy**:
- indirect reporting relationship, work closely with to ensure internal communications strategies are communicated effectively across the business.
- **Internal Communications Specialist and Communications and Community Engagement Advisor **- Direct line management responsibilities, oversight of required deliverables and career development.
- **Chief Executive Officer **- Regular interaction with the CEO to ensure key corporate messages are communicated and the right opportunities are provided to be visible across QIC.
- **Executive Management Team and Executive Committee**:
- Provide communications advice and support and create opportunities for leadership visibility and employee engagement across the business.
- **Corporate Affairs, Government and Strategy team **- work closely with members of the CAGS team to contribute to the effective/ efficient operation of the team ensuring the planning and delivery of allocated projects/ tasks/ reports relevant to CAGS and broader business communications.
- **People & Culture team **- Work closely with to support the implementation of our people strategy to the business.
- **Operations and Technology **- Work closely with IT to ensure all internal digital communications platforms and channels remain fit-for-purpose and evolve as required.
- **External marketing and communications team**:
- Work closely with the marketing and external communications team to remain informed on all asset class marketing activity, marketing research and media management.
- **Internal Stakeholders **- Consult, coordinate and liaise with internal clients across QIC’s corporate and investment teams to manage the flow of both asset and corporate management information.
**About you**
We are looking for someone who has significant experience in a corporate and/or internal communications role and is looking to move into an organisation that will give them the room to make this position their own. We are keen to hear new ideas and perspectives and discuss ways to potentially use our internal communications tools more effectively and efficiently. The ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels is essential, as is the flexibility to be agile according to the needs of the business when required.
This role will be based in our Brisbane office and be responsible for all internal communications globally.
