**The Role**

Bylaser is currently seeking an experienced **Sheet Metal Laser Operator** to join our team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Efficient running of CO2 and Fibre lasers at optimum efficiency;
- Ensure production schedule is followed through as allocated;
- Uploading and editing where necessary the files provided by programming;
- Check quality of parts, ticking off orders;
- Making sure all parts are cut, stacked and packed;
- Ensuring all necessary paperwork and record keeping is done neatly, legibly and in a timely manner;
- Wrapping of pallets ready for dispatch;
- Keeping workplace clean and tidy.

**About You**
- Previous experience with fibre and CO2 lasers (Bystronic preferred);
- Have programming, nesting experience using software;
- Experience with hand tools and other auxiliary machinery;
- Current Forklift licence an advantage but not essential;
- Be physically fit and able to load and unload parts on and off the machines;
- Be safety and quality oriented;
- Have an excellent work ethic, being punctual and hard working with regular attendance;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Problem solving mindset;
- Show attention to detail in the work performed;
- Permanent residency or Australian citizenship status.

**Salary**: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
