Disability Support Worker

**Must be available to work 2-hour, short shifts only, in Rye and Mt Martha.**

**Must hold a minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability.**

**Local to Rye is preferable.**

**The role may involve**:

- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Domestic Assistance, including meal preparation.
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- Flexible and good availability

**Essential criteria**:

- An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person
- centred support
- Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
- A valid Australian driver's licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Current Police Check
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate or willing to obtain
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities

**You must hold or be willing to obtain**:
NDIS Modules and other certificates relating to Healthcare as advised when onboarding.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
