Production Technician

Due to significant growth, and the need to support our valued clients across the region, we are looking for an experienced **Permanent**, **Full-time**, **Production Technician**, to be based out of our **South Melbourne **office.

**The role**

Reporting to leaders within our Production team, and supported by your colleagues, you be responsible for building, testing, installing, and the repair of electrical and electronic equipment that comprise Verra Mobility’s hardware solutions. The technician provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing ultimately ensuring the quality of our flagship Road Safety and associated hardware technologies.

**Due to the nature of this full-time role, it requires a commitment of working from our National Head Office in South Melbourne from Monday to Friday (not hybrid).**

**As an individual passionate about technology and with a curious, analytical, and technical mind you will**:

- Troubleshoot, repair, and manufacture Verra Mobility equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Execute work using comprehensive knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles.
- Identify and report potential electrical/mechanical issues and risks in products and materials.
- Fabricate parts, cables, and test fixtures as required, maintaining meticulous records of all work performed.
- Inspect and test all assemblies prior to shipment, notifying supervisors of any defects for rectification.
- Collaborate with management to plan work schedules based on delivery timelines.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist in technical troubleshooting as directed.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure product quality and adherence to standards.
- Train other maintenance and technical-level employees in key production tasks.
- Analyze and resolve technical problems encountered during production and delivery processes.

**Who are you?**

As an experienced electronics assembler with a **minimum of 5 years industry experience**, you hold a minimum **Cert II qualification** in Electronics and possesses the ability to work at a component level troubleshooting effectively without diagrams. You exhibit a strong team-focused attitude, coupled with a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including specialized diagnostic instruments. As a highly motivated self-starter, you excel in both independent and team environments, demonstrating exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in using electronic test equipment, and experience with hand and power tools further enhance your suitability for this position. You are adept at interpreting technical drawings, datasheets, and work instructions, ensuring precision and efficiency in your work.
