Facilitate community development initiatives and collective solutions with young students and young workers to address issues, needs and problems associated with recreational, health, housing, employment and other welfare matters. To evaluate and coordinate the services of the YCW in Western Sydney. This is to include:

- Engaging students and young workers in a process of action and reflection to develop leadership for lifelong impact.
- Fostering open and inclusive communities of young people making a difference on the issues that affect them the most.
- Promoting a values-driven organisation in Western Sydney that is run by and for young people with the support of a team of mentors.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Team Coordination**
- Coordinate a small team of Youth Engagement Officers and teams of youth volunteers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in aligning their efforts with organizational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture among staff and volunteers.

**Planning and Evaluation of Action**
- Assessing the needs of young people in Western Sydney. To interview young people as necessary and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties.
- Planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs in collaboration with the teams to achieve set goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of plans, making adjustments as necessary, including monitoring and reporting on the progress of youth volunteers and leaders.
- Ensure alignment of activities with the overall mission and vision of the YCW.

**Coordinating the Implementation of Action**
- Coordinate the recruitment and engagement of youth people in project activities, teams and groups.
- Refer young people to agencies that can provide additional help where necessary.
- Lead specific youth engagement initiatives, projects and digital campaigns as required.
- Prepare regular social media posts to promote the YCW and its action.

**Leadership Development**
- Support and resource leaders, members and volunteers. Assisting young people to solve social, emotional and/or financial problems when necessary.
- Coordinate leadership development programs and training sessions.
- Be engaged in personal action as a role model for young people involved in the YCW.

**Community Organizing**
- Utilize community organizing skills to build and maintain relationships within the community.
- Liaise with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies and private businesses about community issues and promote awareness about the YCW and its services.
- Assessing community need and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other facilities and services.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with other organizations and stakeholders.

**Organisational Responsibilities**
- Represent the YCS and YCW in relevant networks.
- Prepare submissions for funding and resources, and reports to government bodies and other agencies.
- Provide monthly progress reports and participate in relevant organisational meetings.
- Other reasonable duties as directed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $73,795.00 - $79,135.00 per year
