**About the role**

We are seeking motivated, experienced, **cnc brake press operator** to join a dynamic safety orientated team working on an interesting variety of work in Medium to Heavy Fabrication, with our new 1500 tonne brake press. The role will have a major focus on working with armour plate for major, high profile defence projects.
- Someone who is a leader in their field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in brake press operation, preferably heavy (800 tonne+)
- Ideally, 3 years' experience working with heavy (25mm+) and/or high tensile material
- Interested in Defence, Mining and other high profile and specialised work
- Excellent crane skills mandatory
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience with jobbing & production projects
- Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
- Attention to detail and take pride in your work

Dogman licence, Forklift licence are desirable and an intimate knowledge of complex tooling and bending methods expected.

As part of the cutting, folding and GI/GO team you will be involved across the dept, for instance learning to operate the laser and water jet cutter.

We can guarantee at least 8 hours per week of overtime at least to Feb 25, and likely extending well beyond.

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
