**About the Role**
The Senior Urban Designer will support the City Design team to design and deliver the built form and public realm for the local community, and advocate for high quality design outcomes for private development. Key aspects of the role include:

- To prepare, implement and review master plans, policies, strategies, technical guidelines, feasibility studies and site analysis.
- To play a key role in the design, planning and implementation of streetscape and civic realm projects within the City of Darebin.
- To promote and champion design excellence across private and public development in Darebin.
- To provide professional and consistent urban design referral advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- To prepare planning and scoping of future projects and work programs for the City Design team.
- To support the Coordinator City Design to manage staff, prepare workplans and manage budgets.

**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related field with relevant experience as an Urban Designer.
- Demonstrated experience in urban design, master planning and built form strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in public realm and streetscape design and strategies will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in providing design advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in stakeholder and community engagement
- Excellent CAD, graphic design and 3D modelling skills. Please specify which programs you use.
- Demonstrated ability to lead mentor, manage and support staff.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills including graphic presentation skills
