Burpengary Community Club is in the largest and fastest growing council areas in Queensland (MBRC). The Club’s focus is to support the immediate area with a Club facility, along with the ongoing support to the community. The Club has a 350 plus seater restaurant including outdoor dining, as well as 80 seat Café, 150 gaming machines, and Sports Bar.

**About the Role...**

**Duties & Tasks of a Kitchen Hand**
- ** Wash** and clean utensils and dishes, and make sure they are stored appropriately.
- ** Handle**, sort, store and distribute food items as per the Club’s HACCP policy
- ** Wash**, peel, chop, cut and cook foodstuffs, and help prepare salads and desserts, when required
- ** Sort** and dispose of rubbish and recycling.
- ** Organise** laundering of kitchen linen.

**We have approximately 20-30 hours per week available in this role**

**About you **

As someone who is interested in the hospitality industry, you will love to help others, enjoy a fast paced environment and most of all have a great SMILE

To be considered for this role, you **MUST **have
- Previous experience using a commercial dishwasher

Essential skills & competencies:

- Be a strong team member, willing to adapt to change and follow directions
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of different people
- Team worker, pleasant vibrant personality
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure
- Good personal hygiene

Experience and Qualifications:

- Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment
