**Administrative Support, Integrated Breast Service**

The Administrative Support role provides high-level administrative support for the Integrated Breast Care Service, under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Consultants and Head of Unit. The role delivers a professional and considerate customer-focused service, communicating with nursing, medical and ancillary staff, hospital departments, internal departments & external health services staff, GP practices, patients and their significant others.

The Administrative Assistant will be required to perform directed tasks at a high level, have excellent time management skills, be capable of excellent communications, and be able to prioritise in a busy environment.

The Integrated Breast Service at RMH works in collaboration with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Council (VCCC) Breast Care Nursing teams with an aim to provide patient centred care that is effective, proactive, consistent, evidence based across the whole patient journey.

**Your new role**:

- Maintain administrative services for the Integrated Breast Service, specifically:

- Coordination and booking of patient appointments;
- Sorting and distributing mail and patient radiological files;
- General administrative tasks related to the efficiency of the Integrated Breast Service.
- Coordinate the administration of Nurse-Led Clinic, Survivorship and Shared Care programs in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs), inclusive of:

- Letter formatting;
- Arranging appointments and resources required for appointments, such as interpreters;
- Updating databases.
- Administrative preparation on behalf of the CNCs for multidisciplinary meetings and outpatient clinics.
- Triage and respond to phone enquiries and escalate to CNCs in a timely manner.
