Craigieburn, Australia Allcare Community Support Full time

Allcare Community Support Victoria specialises in supporting young people and young adults who have been diagnosed with a disability, who are NDIS eligible, and who are in need of support. There are two client streams, 7 years to 25 years old and 25 plus.

Allcare is currently seeking casual support workers located near Craigieburn and Preston.

This position will support a participant on a continuing one to one basis. Some of the areas of involvement would include;
- Helping young people develop their day to day skills and achieving their goals
- Acting as a mentor and being involved in social and recreational activities.
- Maintaining an appropriate relationship with clients so that the client develops trust and feels safe and supported
- Providing transportation and companionship when necessary, so that the client can engage in community activities
- Depending on the participant, personal care and light daily chores may be required

Experience working with children and young adults and related stakeholders is preferred. The objective would be to assist the participant in achieving positive outcomes from a strengths based perspective.

Excellent verbal and written skills are required not only for ensuring clear communication with clients but also maintaining accurate case notes and records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Time Commitment - availability during the week and/or on a weekend day.

Pay: $41.00 - $58.00 per hour
