**About the role**:
We are currently recruiting experienced Personal Care Assistants (female) to join one of our NDIS programs based in Mornington. This role involves supporting individuals with a particular focus on clients living with multiple sclerosis and/or diabetes. It presents a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those requiring specialised care and support.

**Shift**:
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 5.30 pm, and Sunday 8.30am -11am - with flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Travel to clients' homes to provide comprehensive personal care, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Deliver specialised care, including catheter management and medication assistance.
- Provide person-centred care that prioritises the safety, well-being, and individual preferences of each client.
- Fluent English - to maintain effective communication with clients, families, and the care team, and promptly report any changes in a client's health or condition.
- Adapting care plans to address the unique requirements of each client.
- Perform domestic assistance tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and mopping to help maintain a clean and safe home environment.

**Relevant Experience**:

- Experience supporting individuals with multiple sclerosis and diabetes (desirable).
- Experience caring for clients with limited mobility (desirable).
- Familiarity with mobility and support equipment such as adjustable beds, hoists, commodes, and wheelchairs (desirable).

**Required Qualifications and Licences**:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or an equivalent qualification ie nursing degree, diploma and/or currently studying - must have completed ‘Aged Care’ component and placement.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance, or a willingness to obtain one.
- A valid Victorian Driver Licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 20 per week
