**The Location**
Synonymous with great food, wine, waterways and weather this is a fantastic location to spend a few months. This regional city boasts a diversity of cultural, outdoor and sporting activities seldom found anywhere else. Located only two hours north of Melbourne, the area features magnificent food and wine, glorious weather and all the attractions and activities you could imagine in a regional city. Restaurants abound throughout the region, offering an international taste experience to suit all palates.
**The Facility**
This is a 280 bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services. A high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur in the region. Population numbers swell during the fruit harvest season when an estimated 10,000 itinerant workers from throughout Australia and overseas visit the region. Snake bites, cuts, scratches to the eyes from branches, injuries caused by falling from a fruit picking ladder and allergic reactions are among the most common conditions treated during the this period.
**The Role**
A rare opportunity has come up for an ICU Registrar to join the team. This position has been accredited by the CICM and can count towards your FCICM. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and develop as well as study as your roster will be tow 24 hour shifts per week. You will be working with experienced consultants who have many years of experience passing on their knowledge.
**The Requirements**
- Either hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- For on shore doctors have at least 6 months ICU experience
- IMG's must have at least 48 months ICU experience
