**About the program**
Consumer Directed Services (CDS) refers to services which are led by and funded by individual consumers. This includes services such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, iCare, Insurances and brokers. These services provide support, care and access to services and technology for Australians with disabilities as well as their families and carers.
**About the opportunity**
The Consumer Directed Supports (CDS) team deliver a range of NDIS funded services to participants across Victoria and Tasmania including support coordination, individual support, and Supported Independent Living (SIL). You will join the CDS as team as the CDS Coordinator. Your main responsibility will be to lead all CDS operations across the Gippsland region to ensure participants are supported to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community, while ensuring our team is supported to excel in their careers.
**About you**
Your excellent people skills will be an asset as you'll be working across the Wellways teams and with various external stakeholders, including the NDIA, other disability service providers, families and health professionals within participant's community circles.
You will be an experienced people manager and will inspire and be inspired by the dedicated CDS - Gippsland team. While supporting the team in their development, you will also champion their successes and ensure they are fully equipped to deliver the best quality service to those in our care.
Your innovative and analytical mind will seek creative solutions which drive success for our participants and assist Wellways to achieve our goals.
**To be successful in this role**
- Minimum Diploma level or commensurate experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Evidence of COVID vaccination with booster or valid medical exemption
