This is a new and exciting opportunity that reports into the Life Portfolio within People Sector at CSIRO. CSIRO Life Portfolio sits within the People Sector and is responsible for four key pillars, Organisational Culture, Leadership, Organisational Performance Enablement, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.
As the Executive Manager Product, Leadership Product Owner (aka Organisational development leader - Leadership Capability), you will have dual accountability for the development and execution of clear and integrated organisational plans as well as the approach to growing Leadership capability for CSIRO. This role will support the development of strategies and plans across the Life portfolio.
The People Team play an important role in creating an environment that enables CSIRO people to do the best science of their lives. Our People Transformation is a new program of work underway that is designed to reimagine the way that the People Team delivers support to people and leaders at CSIRO in order to provide outstanding people experiences that are more integrated, simplified and customer centric. The position will primarily focus on delivering and integrating products and services that enable, CSIRO’s Organisational Culture, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Organisational Performance, and Leadership.
**Your duties will include**:
- Leading and directing a small team of product owners to take end-to-end oversight and responsibility for specialised Life services (Culture, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Organisational Performance.
- Leading the design, development and iteration of a CSIRO leadership capability strategy that aligns with strategic business imperatives and develop management capabilities throughout CSIRO.
- Identifying and prioritising organisational change initiatives that aim to improve organisational performance, operational efficiency, effectiveness and impact. Co-designing practical plans for implementation and overseeing and governing the embedding and evolution of these interventions, in partnership with the Executive Manager Implementation Lead and Product owners.
- Leading the development of a strong pipeline of key talent that is available to support CSIRO's growth ambitions and evolving business needs. Positioning CSIRO as a talent factory for leadership in the STEM sector.
- Aiding the attraction and retention of key talent to drive capability initiatives.
- Fostering a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching and training to engage and develop CSIRO's workforce.
- Forming partnerships across CSIRO and People, including leadership networks and engagements to deliver outcomes to the organisation.

**Salary**:AU$141,949 - AU$157,055 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology or other relevant discipline.
- At least 10 years' relevant experience designing and implementing integrated leadership development, talent management or human resources management strategies in large or complex organisations.
- Extensive change management experience in an organisation of comparable size and complexity, with the ability to deliver high quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of developing, executing and evaluating an integrated programs of work and strategies, encountering frequent ambiguity and constantly changing environments.
- A strong track record of effectively initiating, implementing and effecting impactful organisational change evidenced by business impact, in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation.
- A history of anticipating and managing problems in ambiguous situations. An ability to assess the risk and opportunity of identified strategies, options and actions while overcoming problems and set-backs in achieving goals.
- Ability to engage in abstract thinking and develop create and effective solutions to long-standing organisational wide problems.
