Cash & Transactional Banking Technology leads core banking technology for the Group. Incorporating development, change and integration of Deposits platforms into Banking & Digital channels, and partnering Business in technology strategy and change.

**How will I help?**

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Managing a Business-Critical Cloud based Big Data platform and process running on the platform.
- Overseeing development of business recovery, disaster recovery & continuity plans and identification, management and timely resolution of incidents, problems and changes including collaboration with and coordination between internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the operational relationship with vendors to improve the quality of the services delivered
- Over-seeing the identification, management and timely resolution of incidents, problems and changes including collaboration with and coordination between internal and external stakeholders. Proactively drive closure of all records within an appropriate timeframe to meet Service Management KPI’s
- Leading and developing team members in accordance with Westpac’s people principles and processes, maximising employee performance and providing mentoring and coaching to ensure business objectives are met.
- Act as Gatekeeper of all Production changes and ensure changes meets industry wide standards.
- Accountable for the currency and quality of system health checks and all related activities from capacity to the overarching risk profiles.
- Adhere to bank’s IT Key Control Framework which defines expectations for the IT enterprise to maintain systems and process data in a complete, accurate, and valid and secure way.
- Ensure compliance of systems and processes within Service Management, including managing risks, issues, and incidents, ensuring controls are appropriately designed, tested, and implemented.
- Act as consultant for changes.
- Drive shift left activities with automation in mind.

**What do I need?**
- Sound understanding of **Big Data, Cloud and DevOps **is highly desirable
- **Data Lake **experience is preferred
- Experience in Hadoop ecosystem with distributed processing architecture desirable. **HDP or CDP stack preferred.**:

- Experience working on Cloud with **IAAS and PAAS **solutions preferred.
- Experience contributing to business cases to assess investment, risk and cost control decisions
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with implementing ITIL best practices
- Exceptional stakeholder, supplier and vendor management and strong influencing skills
- Advanced interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
