Employment Support Officer

About the Role:
Sunnyfield operates Employment Services that specialise in providing cleanroom packaging of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, mailing services and warehouse & logistics solutions to commercial customers whilst offering supported employment to around 60 employees with a disability. Our mission is to provide meaningful and fulfilling employment opportunities to people with disabilities, within a commercial business environment.
As an Employment Support Officers you will support and train our Supported Employees in the workplace, our Warehouse in Mt Druitt. You will review support plans and workplace socialisation techniques while participating in and monitoring the development of workplace skills and competencies for individuals.
This is a Part Time Role for a minimum of 40hrs a fortnight.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Liaise with the Production and Employment Support teams to seek best practice for supported employees including training and support needs, adhering to all client risk assessment strategies, medical and behaviour support plans.
- Communicate any issues, problems, ideas and suggestions to the Team Leaders and the Employment Support Team, as well as liaison with the employee’s family or carer.
- Overseeing that all clients are safe at work at all times.
About You
- Experience supporting people with a disability in a work environment;
- Experience in the delivery of on the job training for people with a disability;
- A passion for excellence & person centred services for people with a disability;
- Awareness of the NDIS
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (is an advantage);
- Certificate IV in Disability (desirable);
- First Aid Qualifications
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong team player and aligned to company values
