**The role**:

- The Safeworking Planner exists to plan and manage the safe access to the rail corridor for all infrastructure works across the network. This will include ensuring that all occupation work plans are met via the operating guidelines and procedures.- Please note: It is essential to hold a TFPC 3.2 qualification to be considered for this position.- This position is based out of the Infrastructure Division, E-Gate, Docklands. Flexible working arrangement offered with a 2/3 split (3 office days required per week)**Main duties**:

- Liaise with stakeholders to understand and establish the occupation plan for forthcoming works across 3 to 6 months planning
- Working with planning teams and Infrastructure disciplines to reflect detail occupation requirements
- Develop agreed protection diagrams that support work and comply with Network Safety regulations
- Administering MTM Access Resource Management System (ARMS) planning systems as required
- Ensure that occupation plans support the achievement of work in a timely and effective manner
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to understand asset access requirements
- Liaise with other Accredited Rail Operators (AROs) where activities are proposed at or across jurisdictional boundaries
- Ensure that Absolute Occupations are planned efficiently (maximising opportunities for Works to share Occupations and thus minimizing impact to the Network)
- Conduct on-site visits to perform safeworking risk assessments on upcoming occupations
- Design Protection Diagrams in Adobe Software Programs in alignment with all current Metro Policy and Procedures
- Drive continuous improvement strategies and process improvements
- Any other tasks as advised by Manager
- Education, skills and experience:
- Track Force Protection Coordinator (TFPC) Level 3.2 - Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in rail industry specific works planning and occupation management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in safeworking and infield network knowledge
- Experience in the planning and developing of the agreed protection plans/diagrams
