They are a complex, diverse (24/7) organisation that provides an important and essential service to the people of South Australia. The HS&W team partner with the operational teams across South Australia to ensure that services are delivered with the safety of their people and community, always front of mind.

**About the Role**
Lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of SA Waters Technical Training Framework and development programs to ensure the business has a highly skilled, capable, safe and competent operational workforce of the future inclusive of apprentices, trainees and cadets.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop the Technical Training team and business unit training leads to deliver technical training and assessments aligned to strategy, objectives and improvements
- Model SA Water values and associated behaviours and demonstrate genuine care for the health and safety (H&S) of our people
- Build H&S capability and empower people to own and improve health, safety and wellbeing in the organisation
- Provide H&S leadership, direction and expertise, and ensure H&S is highly visible across the organisation
- Engage and collaborate throughout the organisation to develop the technical training frameworks vision, goals and targets which are aligned to broader organisational strategy and address key organisational risks and compliance obligations
- Design, develop and implement technical training strategies to improve H&S performance and effectiveness. Partner with key internal stakeholders and external training providers to contextualise training plans, content and delivery to maximise training, operational and cost effectiveness
- Establish, implement and maintain an Apprenticeship Training Framework, aligning legislative, technical and competency requirements for electrical, fabrication and mechanical trades

**About You**
- Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business, Learning and Development or related discipline and/or extensive experience In a Technical Learning and Development role
- Diploma in Vocational Education and Training and/or Diploma in Design and Development
- Certificate IV Work / Occupational Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing technical training models, frameworks, systems and processes
- Experience managing relationships, including business partnering to drive efficient and effective outcomes
- High levels of written and verbal communication
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing professionals/staff or demonstrated leadership capability
- Ability to identify and mitigate potential operational training gaps
