**Who are we?**

PRONIA, meaning “to provide”, is an established community services agency with a rich 50-year history servicing the needs of the culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including the Australian-Greek community. We advocate for the vulnerable and provide innovative services to meet current and emerging multicultural community needs including: aged care, NDIS, early education, and family & community programs.

**What you will be doing**

Working across Metropolitan Melbourne, you will be supporting the elderly and connecting them to the community around them. With kindness you will provide home care, personal care, light domestic assistance, meal preparation, community participation, shopping and assistance with tasks of daily living.

We place a strong emphasis on professional development and ongoing training. If you are changing career and or just wanting to start your journey in aged care, we will hire you before you enrol in a Cert III in Individual Support. A great opportunity to have relevant paid employment as you study.

- Have a positive and professional attitude
- Be reliable and on time
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Demonstrated ability or understanding in working with elderly from different cultural, linguistic and health backgrounds
- Bilingual or Greek speaking desirable
- The ability to work independently and part of a team.

**Other requirements**
- Current driver license and reliable vehicle that is newer than 15 years as required by Government regulations
- Undergo national police record check
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, or willingness to enrol shortly after being employed
- Current certificates in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to complete the course before starting employment
- Smartphone
- Note: In accordance with PRONIA policy, Applicants must have a minimum 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or have a valid medical exemption certificate._
