Diesel Fitter

ALLROADS maintains a fleet of over 120 plant and equipment items and is growing rapidly to meet our increasing project requirements. To help maintain servicing and keep our fleet operational, the Workshop team require a Diesel Fitter to help with the growing workload.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate (with penalties paid) negotiable based on proven experience and capabilities. A signing bonus will be applicable to the successful applicant.

**General Duties**:

- Servicing and maintenance of heavy machinery/vehicles and associated service records
- Engine and component rebuilds - partial to full rebuilds
- Diagnose, repair and test diesel powered heavy equipment including Tip Trucks, Excavators up to 60T, Dozers, Scrapers, Graders, Backhoes, Moxy's
- Ad hoc tasks as required by management.
- Trade Qualification in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent
- Motivated personality with well-developed communication skills
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously, reporting to a number of divisional managers across the Workshop
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current Forklift Licence highly regarded
- Ability to Identify, Assess and Report any workplace risks.
- Welding & Electrical Experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Must be willing to complete Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening.

**Salary**: From $36.00 per hour
