As Centre Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and organisation of the Centre, including providing a high-quality programme of care and education for the children. There is a significant focus on the leadership aspect of this role and less on the commercial acumen. Your focus on developing an engaged, happy and productive team of professional educators is one of the most important role objectives.
- A recognised Diploma or Degree qualification in Early Childhood Teaching as recognised by ACECQA;
- A passion for early childhood education and a desire to mould and make this role their own.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
- A few solid years of leadership experience (ideally in a similar setting)
- Solid understanding of early childhood theory and curriculum planning for children 0-5 years
- Extensive knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework (VEYLDF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) and the Rating and Assessment process
- Strong experience creating and maintaining a Centre Quality Improvement Program (QIP)
- Enthusiasm for building a friendly, fun, professional and high-performing team culture
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis
- Current Working with Children Check
