The Role

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world's economic development and, it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
- Working collaboratively with engineers to draft and document technical drawings for the disciplines of mechanical & hydraulics, piping, civil, but also electrical, P&ID and structural which may require multi-discipline designs of a wide range of innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects such as mechanical plant, pipelines and other associated infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams with engineers and design managers, while independently managing day to day activities and workload.
- Deliver high-quality technical outputs autonomously from project set-up and drawing file management to end quality product to meet or exceed the client's expectations.
- A strong understanding in the value of drawing quality control and drafting standards.
- Commitment to your own ongoing learning and professional development, as provided and supported by Aurecon.

What we are looking for:

- Proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD to bring engineer’s designs to quality levels progressing from sketches to concept to detailed design, concluding with IFC or As-Builts.
- Demonstrate prior experience of the above in a similar environment.
- Experience in CAD and CAD modelling software packages including Civil 3D and 12d will be highly regarded, but not essential, whilst Inventor, Plant 3D, MicroStation or other similar packages are desirable only.
- Knowledge of the drawing management system Meridian is highly desirable, or any experience in a similar software such as ProjectWise.
