**ACCREDITED DIETITIAN**

The role of the Dietitian is to oversee the nutritional well-being of our clients by conducting nutrition assessments, identifying patients at risk and creating diet plans. As per company standards to must analyse the effectiveness of interventions and use metrics to implement data-driven improvements. The NDIS system needs to be understood and worked effectively within to your PD level. You should also actively keep up with the latest nutritional research, integrating new findings into diet plans and nutritional services. In addition you will provide nutrition education to patients to mitigate potential risk factors. This role will collaborate with physicians, therapists and support coordinators in order to tailor dietary services and improve patient outcomes. The Accredited Practising Dietitian should be a great communicator, critical thinker and leader.

We work from a primary and centrally located office with the latest technology, we also complete treatment and assessments within school/home environments to develop SMART goals and attain developmental milestones through sound clinical modalities.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Provide high quality nutrition and dietetic services to individual clients and dietetic team
- Connect and liaise with clients to develop effective client-centred action plans/strategies that are grounded in whole-person health
- Co-ordinate client care with general practitioners, psychologists, other dietitians, exercise physiologists, pharmacists, and other health practitioners both within the centre and externally
- Provide a consultancy service to external organisations as required
- Provide content for nutrition information (including materials) in client or group education programs, printed mediums and presentations
- Learn and administer early intervention diet therapy and coordinate with the support team
- Administer and develop and implement diet therapy plans, under supervision as required
- Monitor, evaluate and review progress and therapy plans
- Develop resources to support the programmes or work within the team to delegate where required

**What do you need to join?**

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Bachelor of Science or Masters (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Member of Dietitian Association of Australia (DA) with Provisional or Full APD (Accredited Practising Dietitian) status
- Minimum 1 year work experience with children with disability, families or in a paediatric setting (desirable)
- DSC clearances - all required by NDIS and Medicare
- National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, First Aid Training, Driver’s License
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
- The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Ability to follow direction and take initiative
