Optical Assistant/dispenser

Vision on Koornang are looking for their next Optical Assistant or Dispenser to join their busy practice in Carnegie.

This role is a minimum 15hrs per week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with the opportunity to negotiate your hours.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide friendly and efficient reception services and general practice administration duties
- Assist patients in the selection of optical frames tailored to their wants and needs
- Ensure that the process of ordering, receiving and delivery of glasses and lenses is accurate and efficient
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice including overall cleanliness and presentation
- The ability to listen, to follow processes and work as a team or independently as required
- The ability to learn and take on new technology and information as it is introduced.

Skills and Experience
- Optical knowledge and experience would be highly valued
- Ability to work with Sunix an advantage
- The ability to offer exceptional customer service and to work well in a small team is essential.
- Flexibility to work additional hours occasionally to cover the holidays of other team members is very much desired.

Vision on Koornang is a small friendly independent practice in busy Koornang Rd Carnegie. We have been in this location for 34 years and are well known by locals. We look after patients of all ages including children and teens, young, middle aged and elderly adults.

We have an excellent reputation and will often see patients that
are referred through word of mouth. We are proud of the service that we offer.
Our team consists of our two optometrists, our full time dispenser and our optical assistant.

Koornang rd Carnegie is a village hub with great shops and public transport access. We have car parking space for staff
