Manager, Professional Standards

The Manager Professional Standards will support the Senior Manager Professional Standards, Business & Client Assurance Team (BCA PS) by managing a new team responsible for the implementation and management of the Trustee and Wealth Services (TWS) business and client assurance framework and related activities within Australian Executor Trustees, which has recently been acquired by Equity Trustee Wealth Services Limited. Including, delivering a first line of defence business support with a specific focus on trust, estate, taxation, philanthropic, estate planning, advice, and operational business.
This role will see working with the team to deliver satisfaction to clients and key stakeholders, including TWS business units and their clients, Enterprise Risk and various regulators, Audit and related audit partners and the relevant Boards. You will develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure Professional Standards continue to evolve and provide relevant governance, risk and compliance frameworks and support to TWS. In addition, you will contribute to BCA PS's TWS Internal Audit Program, ensuring TWS meets all its internal/external audit obligations.
We're looking for an experienced individual who has expertise in risk management, governance, or compliance related roles within the financial services industry. You understand regulatory reform as it relates to estate planning and trustee services and have an uncanny ability to extract and interpret system data to uncover trends and themes. You have well developed interpersonal skills and are able to influence and communicate with a range of stakeholders, especially at the Senior Executive, Management and Board level.
Demonstrated leadership experience is essential as is your RG146 qualification.
