Wombat Occasional Childcare is a 29 place, not for profit, community based early childhood education and care service that has been operating for 44 years. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. We close on public holidays and the over the Xmas break. We offer paid lunch breaks, and you will never have work to take home.

**About the role**:
You will be employed on a permanent part time basis, minimum 3 days per week, 8 hours a day, between 24 - 32 hours per week.

**You will**:

- Ensure all children receive high-quality care in an environment that is safe, caring, stimulating and nurturing of individual differences.
- Assist with and contribute to the services curriculum program.
- Work in a team of highly qualified and experienced educators.
- Build positive partnerships between families and the community.

**Essential criteria**:

- Hold an ACECQA approved Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Reasonable understanding of the Education and Care National Regulations.
- Reasonable understanding Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Reasonable understanding of NQF including the National Quality Standards.
- Approved child protection training.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships with colleagues, children, families and the broader community.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-32 per week

**Salary**: $24.75 - $26.42 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Miranda, NSW 2228: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
