Reporting directly to the Winemaker / Owner an opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to fulfil the mixed role of Winery, Vineyard, and Tasing Room Assistant.

Our Brand Story:
Without question one of the most exciting and progressive producers in recent times hailing from the Hunter Valley. In addition, Usher Tinkler owns some superb old vineyards in Pokolbin, over (45 acres) 18 hectares in fact, with a strong holistic winegrowing philosophy of only making wines from the vine he owns and works.

Usher is the third in the line of 3 Usher’s, a true family name something I can’t help love, especially due to my wanting to break out the album 8701 every time we talk. The family can truly claim their connection to the land with Usher’s grandfather working as a dairyman, his father as a cattleman and now Usher as a vigneron and winemaker.

The cellar door itself is actually the original Church of Pokolbin, which was between 1900 and 1905, more recently renovated by Usher as the home of Usher Tinkler wines, and he’s unique salami bar offering.

The range of wines are wonderfully diverse. The Reserve Chardonnay is very a modern expression from the Hunter, a judicious use of oak alongside a Shiraz sourced from some superb old vines that the estate own. The Natural wines are showcasing the Hunter in a new light, but I can assure you, these wines are made with some serious attention to detail and are clean, delicious bottlings.

About the Role:
This is a mixed role including winemaking and vineyard work, cellar door sales work, casual or permanent as required.

Other work includes, but not limited to.
- Support the winery staff in all aspects of winemaking.
- Support the vineyard team all year round.
- Support the tasting room team to host guests and promote our wines, on and off site.
- Production of red, white, sparkling, and fortified wines.
- Maintain cleaning and sanitisation standards.
- The hours and workdays are flexible, permanent, or casual (as required).
- Have a desire to learn and evolve.

Job Requirements
- Current RSA
- Available to work weekends
- Winery experience would be an advantage

This role would be perfect for someone studying winemaking, wine business, or looking to further their career in the wine industry.
