Ferrycarrig has made a significant contribution to some of Sydney’s largest and most significant infrastructure projects delivered in recent years, including Sydney Light Rail, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Western Sydney Airport, and the New Sydney Fish Markets.

We are currently seeking a skilled **Drainlayer **to join our team

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Excavating/ levelling to line, depth and grade according to drawings and specifications
- Setting out and installing below ground concrete and PVC sanitary and storm-water pipes.
- Carrying out site drainage and de-watering procedures, employing storm-water, sub-soil and pumped systems.
- Perform testing and inspections to identify leaks, blockages, and other issues in drainage systems.
- Installing excavation supports in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Digging trenches to desired, or required depths by hand or using trenching tools or machinery
- Checking slopes for conformance to requirements
- Cutting pipes to required lengths; aligning/positioning pipes to prepare them for sealing; connecting pipe pieces and seal joints.
- Document and report progress, issues, and solutions to project managers.
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep a clean and organized worksite.
- Support environmental best practices and minimize the impact of construction on natural resources.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and tools effectively and safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

**Salary**:$70,000- $90,000 **per annum + superannuation
