**About the Opportunity**

Join the SSN AUKUS Build Program as a **Construction Tooling Manager**, where you’ll lead the planning, manufacture, certification, and lifecycle management of construction tooling for Australia’s first nuclear-powered submarine build. Operating within the Build Readiness IPT, you’ll collaborate with production, safety, ICT, procurement, and external providers to ensure tooling is safe, fit-for-purpose, and delivered in line with program milestones.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute the construction tooling strategy and plan
- Manage tooling manufacture, certification, and lifecycle
- Ensure tooling is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with production needs
- Oversee tooling assurance, training, and compliance with safety and technical standards
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external suppliers
- Ensure tooling is certified, compliant, and accepted by end users
- Maintain alignment with evolving program milestones and operational readiness
- Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis._

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Trade Certification with relevant industry experience
- 10+ years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Experience in defence, shipbuilding, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage tooling manufacture, procurement, certification, and maintenance
- Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and technical performance standards
- Experience with tooling tracking systems and digital asset management
- Proficient in MS Office and tooling database systems
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
