**Role Description/Criteria**

As part of the senior leadership team the Deputy Principal - Learning & Teaching will be responsible to ensure the provision of innovative, evidence-based and engaging teaching and learning programs which meet the individual needs of students across a full range of abilities.

**Demonstrated Experience and Skills**:

- A deep commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education
- Leadership experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development, assessment and reporting, and staffing requirements within a secondary school environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively at all levels
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to priortise tasks, meet deadlines and concurrently manage a number of competing tasks
- Confident to work autonomously and in a team setting to produce quality outcomes and build a cohesive and effective team
- The ability to initiate and implement ideas to enhance the College.
- A commitment to the John Paul College Mission and Values
- Possess a passion, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence
- A willingness to care for a connection with students, parents and staff

**Qualifications**:

- A recognised teacher qualifications and post-graduate degree in educational leadership, educational administration or equivalent
