As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to **protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State**.

As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we have an opportunity for a passionate, energetic and experienced casual **Wildlife Keeper **to support our dedicated Wildlife team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Life Sciences Manager, this role will involve achieving high level of animal and health husbandry, exhibit maintenance, keeper talks and a keen eye for detail.

**About You**

The successful applicant must hold or be studying Certificate III Captive Animal Management. Of equal importance, you must be able to deliver high levels of customer service in an energetic, friendly, and professional manner within a busy work environment. You will have a sense of fun, and be motivated and inspired to provide outstanding efficient, safe, and memorable guest service. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Wildlife handling, husbandry skills and previous experience is essential.
- Can deliver a high level of friendly customer service to all domestic & international visitors.
- Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds and reptiles.
- Has a high level of energy, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must be flexible and reliable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude in our team environment.
- Ability to carry / support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Hold a current manual Driver’s licence and current First Aid qualifications would be an advantage.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends and school holiday holidays.
