Maintenance Fitter

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Fitter with a keen eye for continuous improvement to join our team at Villawood. You will be working Monday to Friday 2pm - 10.30pm.
Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:

- Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence
- Carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory
- Working closely with the maintenance team to analyse performance issues and develop and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory
- Assisting in ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard
- Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents
- Occasional travel to our site in Ingleburn may be required.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
