Our key sites are Garden Island, SPO Rockingham and RAAF base Pearce in WA. **What this opportunity will mean for you**: - Purposeful work where your efforts are recognised in an environment where you can thrive - Joining an organisation that is passionate about developing some of the most impressive careers in the world - Industry-leading flexibility options to unlock the talent and diversity of every individual - Unique opportunities to contribute to programs of national significance whilst growing your skills - A strong safety culture, inclusive teams and work to be proud of, underpinned by a compelling set of values - BAE Systems Australia offers a hybrid working arrangement and support flexible working **Your new role**: Technical Support Officers are responsible for providing technical support to customers on the corporate computing environment, this will involve travel between Garden Island, SPO Rockingham and RAAF base Pearce to support a variety of hardware and network infrastructure. **More specifically, you will be accountable for**: - Collaborate and make recommendations to colleagues, broader teams and customers to improve services and processes - Support projects where allocated - Provide technical support for the customer's extensive computing fleet: infrastructure, mobile fleet, Personal Device Assets and Video Conferencing technologies - Troubleshoot and provide information to enable resolution on support requests and promptly allocate unresolved calls as appropriate - Receive and handle requests for support, following agreed procedures and within Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines - Manage customer expectations for the resolution of outstanding incident and service requests, advising customers in a timely manner of system downtime or interruptions - Create and maintain process instructions and relevant documentation - Work with the Asset Management team to ensure all IT assets are properly tracked - Complete System Administration and Classified duties as required - Alert the customer or business to potential, or known problems that affect the quality of services provided About you **As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**: - Experience providing on-site, face to face and remote Technical Support to senior exec in the corporate information technology environment - Experience providing timely response to incidents and service requests working to the call logging system - Experience providing Hardware and Software Management Support for the Desktop, Laptop, mobile, telephony and Video Conferencing fleet - Experience supporting meeting room technologies including "Skype for Business" and associated room hardware - Basic hardware knowledge of network communications equipment, switches, routers, patch panels etc. - Experience supporting Audio Visual infrastructure would be an advantage - Experience creating a positive user experience by updating and managing expectations - When required assist in business projects with a technology requirement - Create and maintain documentation - Working knowledge of Active Directory - Work autonomously with "little" to "no" supervision Clearances As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
