**About the Role**

This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that values its team members, offers a supportive working environment, and has a genuine desire to develop its people.

You will enter our Traineeship program whereby you will complete a Cert III Aged Care and be provided with on-the-job training. After six weeks you will be able to work autonomously and will be responsible for providing quality personal, social and emotional care and support to residents in accordance with Arcare‘s Values. You will play a crucial role in resident’s overall wellbeing.

**Your primary functions will be**:

- Gain a Cert III qualification: Two paid study days per week for the first six weeks, one paid study day for the following 40 weeks.
- Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
- Mobility support: Helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Monitoring health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident’s health or behavior.
- Meal Assist: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
- Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident's condition on eCase.
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals: Working in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

**Skills & Experience**
- Applicants cannot hold a qualification higher than a Certificate II
- Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
- Friendly and effective communication abilities.
